An individual should look beneath the surface and check himself first before he can tackle the physical clutter.  

While most are eager to know the tips and techniques on how to get organized, it is important to ask the question of why? And look for the root of the problem. He points out the problem is more on how we are attached to the stuff instead of the actual stuff and clutter.

Andrew then reflects on what type of person he is and what is his goal for the podcast. He says that he has 25 years of experience in helping people with the problem of being disorganized resulting into clutter. That he is truthful and passionate with his aim. Before, he was having major problems in his life as well, but as he went on the process on applying the rules to himself, he begins to reinvent himself and eventually was able to overcome the hurdle and burden and now lives a life that is beyond his expectations. He now sets a goal to help individuals who have gone to similar hurdles like him in the area of clutter and being disorganized.

 

The aim then, as Andrew puts it, is to focus on the goal, and train the person to withstand factors such as stress. That, even when an individual does not feel like doing it, because he had a hectic stressful day, he still focuses on the goal of being organized and resolving clutter. When individuals get to that level, then real change can happen. That is what will be addressed in the podcast.
